Portfolio Review
No payment is taken at quote request stage. SLC will review the information provided and confirm price, availability and next steps. Quotes are valid for 7 calendar days from issue unless stated otherwise. Once a quote is accepted, payment instructions will be issued. Payment can be made by Stripe payment link or bank transfer. Payment in full is required to secure the booking date and time.
SLC coordinates landlord compliance and property record services through appropriate third-party professionals where required. EPCs are completed and lodged by accredited Domestic Energy Assessors. Gas Safety Records / CP12s and boiler/gas servicing are completed by Gas Safe registered engineers. EICRs are completed by properly qualified electrical contractors. Smoke & CO Alarm Check Record is a record support service, not a legal opinion. SLC does not provide legal advice, possession advice, eviction advice, improvement works, property management or guaranteed compliance outcomes.

EPC outlook
The 2030 EPC C standard is approaching.
Two policy shifts affect EPC outcomes for privately rented homes. Reviewing weaker EPC positions early gives landlords more options before pressure builds.
From October 2026
EPC reform introduces new metrics
EPC reform is expected to introduce new metrics from October 2026. The same property may score differently under the future methodology.
2027 to 2029
Compliance market tightens
Demand for upgrade works is expected to peak. Assessor capacity may drop and lead times may extend.
1 October 2030
Higher PRS energy efficiency standard
From 1 October 2030, privately rented homes are expected to need to meet the higher PRS energy efficiency standard, broadly equivalent to EPC C, unless a valid exemption applies.
Plan ahead
EPCs are generally valid for up to 10 years unless replaced by a newer certificate. Acting in good time gives landlords more options ahead of the methodology change in October 2026 and the 2030 standard. SLC supports EPC coordination and helps landlords keep compliance records organised and visible.
