How the coordination works
Tell SLC what you need across one or many properties. SLC reviews the request manually, confirms price and availability in writing, and arranges the visit through an appropriate accredited or qualified third party.
Returned certificates are stored against the property record and renewal dates are tracked so you have visibility before anything expires.

Sunderland landlord accreditation
Sunderland does not currently operate Selective or Additional Licensing. Sunderland City Council instead operates a voluntary Accredited Landlord Service, alongside mandatory HMO licensing where it applies. Licensing and accreditation decisions rest with the council and depend on the individual property.
Sunderland Landlord Compliance is an independent service and is not part of, or endorsed by, Sunderland City Council. We can help landlords review and arrange relevant evidence, including:
