Frequently asked questions
Why are there no fixed prices or instant online booking?
Because property, access and scope vary and a fixed online price would be wrong as often as it was right. Every figure on this page is a starting point. We review each request manually and confirm your exact price in writing, usually within one hour during office hours, and always the same working day.
When do I pay?
Payment in full is taken upfront on all jobs once you accept the written quote. There are no deposits and no payment on completion. Payment in full secures your booking and gets you the earliest available slot.
Is there a coordination or admin fee on top?
No. Coordination is included in the price quoted. There is no separate coordination fee anywhere.
How are remedial works priced?
Remedial works are quoted after we have reviewed your report, line by line against each coded observation, so you can see what is required and what is optional. We do not publish remedial prices because the scope is set by the report.
Who actually carries out the work?
Independently qualified subcontractors. EPCs are carried out by accredited Domestic Energy Assessors, Gas Safety Records and CP12s by Gas Safe registered engineers, and EICRs and electrical remedials by qualified electrical contractors. SLC coordinates the visit, verifies registration before instruction and holds the records.
