How SLC can help

  • EPC assessment

An EPC assessment arranged through an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor.

  • Review of EPC recommendations

We review your existing EPC recommendations and arrange suitable specialist advice. We do not guarantee a retrofit design or an EPC rating improvement.

  • Surveys and written quotations

We coordinate improvement surveys and written quotations from suitable specialists. Specific survey and design services are scoped separately.

  • Documents and completion records

We organise property documents, certificates and completion records so you hold one clear file.

02

Simple steps

  1. Tell us about the property and what you want to achieve.
  2. SLC confirms the proposed service, scope and written price privately.
  3. Qualified specialists assess the property and quote for suitable work.
  4. You handle any financing directly with Lendology and accept works separately once ready.

We do not verify lender approval, and we do not book works on the basis of funding that has not been confirmed to you by the lender.

Discuss your property's improvements

A service enquiry to SLC. This is not a loan application. Please do not include financial, income or banking details.

Nothing is booked or charged until you approve a written quotation.

03

Installation enquiries

If you want to discuss solar, battery or insulation installation, we can pass your enquiry to WHNZ only with your agreement. WHNZ is a separate, independent company with its own contract and its own certifications. SLC is not an MCS installer, and loan application support is not part of any SLC service package.

About the North East Warm Homes Loan

Independent scheme information. Not an SLC service.

The North East Warm Homes Loan is provided by Lendology. Registration of interest opened on 8 October 2026. Full applications open on 22 October 2026.

Eligibility depends on your circumstances as an owner occupier or landlord, the property's postcode and Lendology's own assessment. We cannot confirm eligibility or guarantee acceptance.

  • A loan has to be repaid.
  • A restriction may be registered on the property title, which can affect selling.
  • Missed repayments can affect your credit rating.
  • Consider grants and other assistance first. For impartial options, visit North East Warm Homes (opens in a new tab).

You choose your contractor, and that choice is separate from any loan. SLC is not a Lendology partner or approved panel member, and we cannot guarantee that any quotation, fee or work will be financed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The North East Warm Homes Loan is provided by Lendology. You register and apply directly with Lendology, who assess eligibility and affordability. Registration opened on 8 October 2026 and full applications open on 22 October 2026. SLC does not arrange, assess or approve finance.

SLC coordinates EPC assessments through accredited Domestic Energy Assessors, reviews existing EPC recommendations, arranges improvement surveys and written quotations from suitable specialists, and organises property documents and completion records.

Usually, yes. A current EPC and its recommendations give a clearer starting point for deciding which improvements to look at and which specialists to involve.

That depends on a specialist assessment of the property. We do not decide the work from a postcode or an EPC alone, and survey or design services are scoped separately.

No. Quotations for works and the loan are separate. You choose your contractor, and any loan is a separate agreement between you and Lendology. We cannot guarantee that any quotation, fee or work will be financed.

We cannot promise any EPC rating. The rating after works depends on the property, the measures installed and a new EPC assessment.

The proposed service, scope and price are confirmed with you privately in writing before any work begins. Nothing is booked or charged until you approve it.
