Gas Safety Certificates for Landlords in Sunderland

A Gas Safety Certificate, also referred to as a CP12 or Landlord Gas Safety Record, confirms that the gas appliances, fittings and flues in a property have been checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer. For most rental properties in England this check is required every 12 months.

SLC coordinates the booking with a Gas Safe registered engineer, receives the returned record and helps you keep it organised against the property.

Add a boiler service to the same booking. Many landlords also coordinate EICR and EPC work at the same time.

The annual Gas Safety Record confirms whether the appliances, fittings and flues are safe to use. It is not a service. A boiler service is a separate maintenance job on the appliance itself, covering condition, cleanliness and efficiency, and it is normally what a manufacturer warranty requires. Holding a valid Gas Safety Record does not mean the boiler has been serviced.
