What is an EPC?
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rates a property's energy efficiency from A (most efficient) to G. A valid EPC is required for most privately rented homes in England before they are let or relisted.
The EPC is completed and lodged on the official register by an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) through their own approved accreditation route. An EPC is generally valid for up to 10 years unless replaced by a newer certificate.
