When it fails
Anyone can hand you a report. We fix what is in it.
An unsatisfactory EICR is the point most landlords get left on their own. This is the part we are built for: we quote the remedial, get the work done through a qualified electrical contractor and see the satisfactory certificate issued.
- 1
Unsatisfactory report received
Send us the EICR. We read the coded observations and identify what actually has to be put right.
- 2
Costed remedial quote within 24 hours
A written, itemised quote covering the C1, C2 and FI items, with nothing added that the report does not require.
- 3
Works booked
Once you accept, we book a qualified electrical contractor and confirm access arrangements with you or your tenant.
- 4
Photo evidence on completion
Before and after photographs of the remedial work are returned with the paperwork so you can see what was done.
- 5
Satisfactory certificate issued
The installation is re-tested and the satisfactory certificate is issued, stored against your property and tracked for renewal.
Your EPC C deadline is closer than 2030.
From 1 October 2030 every private rented property must reach EPC C or hold a valid exemption, with penalties up to £30,000 per breach and a £10,000 cost cap. If you secure an EPC C before 1 October 2029 under the current methodology, the property is treated as compliant until that certificate expires. That window is closing.
Check my propertyHow It Works
Four simple steps. One coordinated compliance partner.
Step 1
Tell us what you need
Select the services required: EPC, Gas Safety / CP12, boiler service add-on, EICR, electrical or gas remedial works, Smoke & CO alarm check record, HMO fire risk assessment or Platform Access. Add the property details and any access notes.
Step 2
We confirm your quote
SLC reviews every request manually, checks availability with appropriate third parties and replies with a tailored quote usually within one hour during office hours, and always the same working day. No payment is taken at this stage.
Step 3
Accept and book
Accept the quote and SLC sends payment instructions (Stripe link or bank transfer). Payment in full secures the booking date and time. Quotes are valid for 7 calendar days.
Step 4
Records organised
SLC coordinates the appointment, returns the certificates and records, and stores everything against the property with Platform Access, with expiry and renewal dates visible in one place.
No payment is taken at quote request stage. SLC reviews every request manually and replies usually within one hour during office hours, and always the same working day (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). Quotes are valid for 7 calendar days from issue unless stated otherwise.
HMOs on one annual contract
Gas Safety, EICR on cycle, EPC on cycle, fire alarm testing, emergency lighting and a fire risk assessment review, all on one renewal calendar with a licensing evidence pack ready when the council asks.

Plain-English landlord guidance
In plain English
Landlord compliance, clearly explained
What Sunderland Landlord Compliance helps with
Sunderland Landlord Compliance helps landlords coordinate EPC Assessments Sunderland, Gas Safety Records and CP12s, EICR support for landlords, remedial works after an unsatisfactory EICR, landlord compliance renewal tracking, document storage and follow up recommendations across Sunderland and the North East.
Who the service is for
Single-property landlords, portfolio landlords, accidental landlords, letting agents and homeowners who want clearer records, tracked renewal dates and a single point of contact for property compliance. We do not act as a letting agent and do not provide legal advice.
How the coordination process works
Tell us the property and what you need. We review the request, confirm price and availability in writing, arrange the visit with a suitable qualified provider, then store the returned certificate against your property record. You can bundle several services into one quote.
What happens after a certificate or report is received
The returned document is filed against the property, the renewal date is captured, and any follow-up recommendations (for example an unsatisfactory EICR needing remedial work) are flagged with a next-step suggestion. Where remedial work is needed, we can coordinate quotes and completion evidence.
Why renewal tracking matters for landlords
Property compliance is not just about getting a certificate and filing it away. Landlords need clear records, clear renewal tracking and clear next steps. Missed renewal dates can leave a property non-compliant at the point it matters most, at check-in, at inspection or during a claim.
For Accredited and Qualified Subcontractors
Join the SLC Approved Subcontractor Panel.
SLC is building a vetted panel of accredited and qualified subcontractors to deliver landlord compliance services across the North East. EPCs, Gas Safety Records / CP12s, boiler service add-ons and EICRs. Apply to receive matched instructions through Sunderland Landlord Compliance.
- Domestic Energy Assessors (EPC)
- Gas Safe Engineers (CP12 and boiler service)
- Qualified Electrical Contractors (EICR)
- Accredited and qualified trades only
- Coverage across the North East
- Instruction opportunities across multiple trades
How it works
- 01Submit an expression of interest with your trade, accreditation or registration details, and coverage area.
- 02Credentials reviewed against the recognised requirements for your trade (DEA accreditation, Gas Safe registration, electrical qualifications).
- 03Approved subcontractors receive a unique panel ID and instruction emails for matching jobs in their trade.
Expression of interest only, not an automatic approval.
